Ocorian appoints new Head of Ocorian – Dubai

Ocorian, a market leader in asset servicing for private markets and corporate and fiduciary administration, has appointed Veena Karuthasen as Head of Ocorian in Dubai, as it launches Ocorian in the Middle East.

Ocorian acquired Bovill in February 2024, which, combined with Newgate — Ocorian’s existing regulatory and compliance business in the Channel Islands and UK — creates a powerhouse in global regulatory and compliance support. This expansion into the Middle East marks an important step in helping clients unlock new value, navigate evolving regulations, and navigate complex global regulatory environments with confidence.

Veena brings over 15 years of expertise which will be instrumental in building Ocorian’s operation in the Middle East. Her most recent experience includes leading the Business Advisory Compliance function for a UAE bank. She has a unique blended background of consulting and in-house experience, this includes firms such as: EY, LSEG and Bovill.
